I know people say that relationships nowadays always meet into a halt when there’s no more chemistry firing up into it. They say it’s always in the beginning where you seem to feel the happiness, away from the blundering remarks of the world, free from the loneliness you once had felt.
But I say, a true relationship, no matter how big or small the fights, the misunderstandings, the arguments, the problems - there would always be that willingness to settle it down. Yes, they say you only feel happiness at the start of the relationship. As time goes on, there would be those petty quarrels you couldn’t ignore. My cue to this? It’s normal in a relationship to be this way. In fact, I find it pretty fascinating that I see our arguments and petty fights as a challenge from God who, in the end, promised us a happy ending after all. And not only that, it makes a relationship stronger than before, in which you could avoid the same mistakes again.
So to those who are discouraged, empty of hope, disappointed - just keep doing what’s good for your relationship. Time will come and people will stop and realize that indeed, both of you who are involved in the relationship are genuine and faithful to each other.
